One of the very best gifts my parents gave me was the appreciation of reading. Books are so many things to so many people. They are a doorway to knowledge, a light out of darkness, a bridge to happiness, they are the future and they are the past. They are the fantasies that ignite and inspire. Books set people free and set peoples hearts soaring. They are an escape and an opportunity.
