Oh Hourglass I love your products! I especially love the multi pan ambient lighting palettes that come out at the holidays. I have a number of them and they are some of my absolute favorites! This year however what are you doing? What are you thinking? You have three beautiful palettes and you are allowing people to choose the artwork (Tiger, elephant, or butterfly) and also choose the palette from three sets of pre-combined colors/formulas . The drawback is you can’t mix-and-match the individual products to make your own truly customize six pan palette.That said, I am confronted with the choice of which one to buy – or shall it be all three!? They are all stunning as usual!
Color palette 1 is clearly a favorite having been sold out at least once so far. This is my first choice as it has the most variety to offer based on my skin type and my other palette colors. (In my opinion) Each collection has something unique about it and each collection contains new shades.
Color palette 2 appears to offer the darkest colors and is well suited for medium to dark complexions. However if you have a fair to medium skin tone, I feel you can make this work simply by using a light hand when applying.
Color palette 3, in my opinion, has a broader audience. Do not be afraid of the darker blush colors in the butterfly palette . When you apply them with a light hand and blend well, they are absolutely stunning on the skin. You also have a lot of opportunity to use the four lighting powders to achieve a variety of looks. And this palette contains two of the best finishing shades combined with a mix of new products. All good and great! Hourglass, in futures can you allow us to pick all six of the shades for a palette. That would be amazing!
If you are a consumer you can’t go wrong purchasing any of these stunning palettes! The formula Hourglass has come up with for these powders must contain some magic fairy dust as they make your skin so youthful, near flawless and stunning. It’s recommended you order early as these tend to sell out quickly and are not always restocked. These are wonderful gifts to give for the holidays! Don’t forget to give one to yourself too!
