Do you look at life through a rear view mirror or a windshield?

When you use a rear view mirror to view your life you only see a small, narrow, diminishing portion of your life. Your view is static and doesn’t allow for change, Spending too much time looking in your rear view mirror may be dangerous . You may miss an upcoming on-ramp filled with opportunity or you may run off the road and get lost.

When you look out a windshield you see a wide vista filled with new sights. You see upcoming, unlimited opportunity, along with signs giving you guidance and direction. No matter what’s in your review mirror, your life is forward facing and all about what’s next.

Both directions work together. Your rear facing mirror provides you with memories of mistaken turns etc, which ensure your path ahead is a more efficient ride. Use your rear view mirror but focus on your windshield. That’s where you will have the most impact of your life!

And whatever you do enjoy the ride!
