Despite making a solemn vow to myself that I would not buy more make up, more palettes, more skin care, I did! I have committed a greedy act and wantonly purchased the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked palette!
I tried to tell myself I was content with those that I already owned. I tried to tell myself I didn’t need yet another palette from them. I didn’t look at any videos about the new palettes. I didn’t talk to my friends about it or look at Sephora or Ulta or any other site that would show me it’s beautiful little eyes opening up and showing me the many fine wonders that it held.
But oops, I did it again, I bought it! One moment I was so full of conviction, courage and certainty. The next thing I knew I had added to my cart and checked out!
The shame! The shame! While I enjoyed my two day express delivery I begin to convince myself that once it did show up I could return it without even opening it and looking at it. What a fool I am! The second the UPS box showed up on my front porch I snatched it and ran for the bathroom & ripped the package open. I’m not even sure the UPS driver had left the driveway.
I wanted to hate it! I wanted to blame it somehow for my folly! At the end of the day however I am in love and I can’t give it away. It’s mine, my precious!
